Emu is a gamified educational mobile app with micro-courses teaching music production, sound design, culture, ear training and more, available on iOS and Android.
Problem
Music production education is fragmented, expensive, and often inaccessible. Aspiring producers have to piece together knowledge from scattered YouTube tutorials, expensive courses, and dense textbooks. There's no single platform that makes learning music production as engaging and structured as platforms like Duolingo have done for language learning.
Solution
Emu takes a gamified micro-course approach to music education. The app offers a diverse course library covering both technical production and mixing topics, as well as cultural and historical events in music. Learning is interactive — it happens when you can hear and feel the sounds and concepts you're learning, not just read about them conceptually.
